Get an event back.
Write to [email protected] and a person answers. Tell us what you expected and what happened instead. Include your iPhone model, your iOS version and the app version, which is shown at the bottom of Settings in the app. We can’t see your calendars, so screenshots help.
When does it save a snapshot?
Every time you open the app, and whenever you tap Snapshot now. iOS may also run it in the background, but iOS decides when, so it isn’t guaranteed. Home shows the last snapshot that actually finished. If you allow notifications, the app reminds you when a day and a half passes without one.
How do I restore a deleted event?
Open History, tap the deleted event, then tap Restore this event. For a repeating event you can restore the whole series. Nothing is written to your calendar until you confirm. If something else is already in that slot, you choose whether to replace it, keep both or leave it.
What is free, and what does the unlock add?
Free: up to 90 days of history, and restore anything saved in the last 7 days. The one-time unlock keeps a year or everything, and restores from any snapshot still on your iPhone. It is one payment, with no subscription.
I bought the unlock. Why is it locked?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. If the App Store can’t confirm the purchase for a while, your history is kept, and Settings says so.
Refunds
Apple handles payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Why don’t guests come back?
Restore puts back the event itself: title, time, place, notes, alerts and repeat rule. It doesn’t re-invite guests, so nobody gets surprise invitations. The restore screen tells you when an event had guests.
Events look deleted, but they are still in my calendar.
If you turn a calendar off in Settings, its events stop appearing in new snapshots, so they can look deleted when two snapshots are compared. Turn the calendar back on and take a snapshot.
Will my snapshots move to a new iPhone?
No. Snapshots are encrypted with a key that never leaves the iPhone that made them.
To keep a copy, export a snapshot as an .ics file before you switch phones.
